Philosophy

Art and writing are not extravagances or indulgences.

They are expressions of mankindís development, whether scratches on a wall, hieroglyphics, painting, or prose. Thus, they are a necessity. As cultures have changed, merged, or disappeared, all left their record of existence through art and writing. They go hand in hand. History of all periods would be vastly different and misunderstood without the evolutionary evidence of manís need to record achievements and hopes.
